Description
I generally use my still or video camera to capture moments that have artistic potential. Using these photos as a basic start to my paintings allows me the base point and freedom to completely transform it into a new and completely different artistic expression. I paint by hand in layers to add various textural qualities to the painting. I set my own color palettes, and use various electronic brushes to create that dramatic final statement that point and shoot reference photographs rarely have. I have spent the last three years developing a unique painterly style that I believe is akin to the more traditional mediums we all have grown to know and love.
I will do custom work....please email me to discuss

This work struck me for its subject, composition and depth! I had to look it up to see if it was a photo or painting! (I'm a traditonal painter..in method, not style.) I liked your description of the process and the experimentation it took to achieve this. Very nice.

Bob, This is another masterpiece. I love the way you composed this painting, with the leaning tree in the foreground which leads the eye to the amazing red rocks. I have been to Sedona once and my wish is to return again. Also thank you for your gracious and kind praise of my paintings on FAA. Your remarks are encouraging. I am still learning.
