Description
I generally use my still or video camera to capture moments that have artistic potential. Using these photos as a basic start to my paintings allows me the base point and freedom to completely transform it into a new and different artistic expression. I paint by hand in layers to add various textural qualities to the painting. I set my own color palettes, and use various electronic brushes to create that dramatic final statement that point and shoot reference photographs rarely have. I have spent the last three years developing a unique painterly style that I believe is akin to the more traditional mediums we all have grown to know and love.

Aloha Bob, the appearance of sunlight on the pali and wonderful shadows are fascinating gazing through the foliage. It is a realistic perspective. The textures of the stones are wonderful as well, and the powder blue sky is a beautiful contrast with the warm colours of the landscape. t is a lovely work of art.
