For the past few years I have been working on a self taught series of exercises to develop a consistent technique to achieve textural effects using an electronic pen and tablet. My goal is to develop a style as close as possible to traditional painting techniques . I used to paint traditionally but digital has opened up a new and exciting challenge which I love to explore..I have bought my own digital paintings on canvas and have experimented by adding a transparent textural gel to the final piece to add a physical tactile sense to my work...very excitng outcome and challenge to try and paint this way but I love it and don't care much about the negative narrow minded opinions brought out by some regarding the value of digital art. I am enjoying myself in this new form of expression because it now has bridged the gap between all forms of mixed media and creative expressions. As a graphic designer all my life I have had to be innovative to command a steady career so I welcome the technol...
