Description
I generally use my still or video camera to capture moments that have artistic potential. Using these photos as a basic start to my paintings allows me the base point and freedom to completely transform it into a new and different artistic expression. I paint by hand in layers to add various textural qualities to the painting. I set my own color palettes, and use various electronic brushes to create that dramatic final statement that point and shoot reference photographs rarely have. I have spent the last three years developing a unique painterly style that I believe is akin to the more traditional mediums we all have grown to know and love_________________________________________________________________________________
Please note: A portion of my proceeds will be donated to The Joy and Hope Of Haiti, an organization that has been instrumental in providing a better life for Haitian children for well over a decade. I have been back to Haiti several times over the last few years. It is rich in culture and in so many other ways but still remains one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere. If you wish to learn more about the on-going efforts or contribute in any way in this country please visit www.joyandhopeofHaiti.ca
